Our Home and Bioregion:

We live on a 160-acre piece of land, which is part of a forested ecosystem and situated in the Slocan Valley, north west of Nelson, in British Columbia, Canada. Our Community is set atop Morning Star Ridge and looks north to Lemon Creek and Slocan Lake and west to the spectacular Valhalla Mountain Range. The

2.5 km road leading to us from HWY 6 is fairly steep and requires a 4x4 vehicle. We encourage visitors to park at the bottom of this road and take the walk as an opportunity to quiet the mind and experience the land as you enter this home.

The land we live with is mainly forested, inhabited by  bears, squirrels, bats, deer, cougar, grouse, birds...There are several clearings, organic gardens, homes, camp sites and a straw bale community hall. Three creeks provide us with pure mountain water, and several trails run through the land. It’s beautiful!
